Dharani School of Performing Arts was set up by Smt. Shyamala Surendran in 1987 at Cochin, to impart authentic tutelage in Bharatha Natyam, Mohinyattam, Veena recital, Carnatic music etc and inculcate an interest in our rich art traditions. Dharani follows the Kalakshetra (Pandanallur) style of dancing. The school's approach to teaching dance is based on live instruction and direct experience.
